iVU CINEMA Afrika launches in Africa: Why it breaks the video-on-demand mould

EL Media service in Africa has launched seven channels on Free To Air in partnership with Viewsat.
iVU TV is promising to become a leading VOD/IPTV company in Africa delivering worldwide content via the internet direct to home. Seven SPI’s English language channels are now available in the Basic Pack. iVU TV customers may enjoy a rich variety of programming including world’s cinema masterpieces, including Nollyhood, Hollywood and Bollyhood movies in addition to the award-winning festival movies presented on iVU CINEMA AFRIKA.  Christian believers for the first time get more options on the iVU CINEMA package PUBLIC TV which is taken from the Free To Air Public Channels. Fight sports lovers get a full doze of international martial arts, Wrestling content as well as live MMA and kickboxing events on iVU CINEMA HD. Another sports channel which is part of the bouquet is iVUBox HD, offering an action-packed, adrenaline-pumping medley of extreme sports, from car racing and motocross to snowboarding and skateboarding. 
Currently, iVU CINEMA is offering a free trial of the service for a week to a month, with introductory pricing of $4.99 per month and $12.99 for subscription via iOS available until July 7th in 2018.
The standard pricing fees will be $10.99 per month, or $14.99 via iOS. The higher rate for iOS due to the fee charged by Apple, which Google is passing onto iOS subscribers.
Black will be available from 3 November; consumers can access it by downloading the black Android & iOS apps using a tablet or phone. It will also available on a web interface at www.ivu.co.za. The platform’s official launch is 14 November 2017.
iVUBox Live offers access to live TV channels as well on the iVU TV Afrika apps and website as a huge on demand library which includes movies, documentaries as well as sports programming, music and fashion videos.
